Covenant Bible Truth: Jesus Is King of the USA Isaiah 33:22
- What does God say about choosing civil servants? How can our government stand up for our liberty, protect us and have Christians live in peace? The answer is to choose representatives who obey what God commands leaders to do in the Bible. Remember, in the USA we are “One Nation Under God” with “No King But King Jesus” and our representatives serve King Jesus and “We the People”.
- Government submits to King Jesus. God commands leaders to obey Him.
- “provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers…” Exodus 18:21.
“He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.” 2 Samuel 23:3.
“O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” Psalm 2:10-12.
The king “shall write him a copy of this law in a book… And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:” Deuteronomy 17:18-19.
“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.” Isaiah 33:22.- Fear the Lord, which is to obey God’s Word and depart from evil.
- God’s top priority for government is to be a Christian who fears the Lord – obeys God – with Jesus as King of their life and the USA.
- Lawful government obeys King Jesus. Psalm 2, Isaiah 9:6…
- Be a man of truth, keeping their word and the Constitution.
- Hate covetousness and have the lowest taxes possible.
- Be just – upright, and equitable in the distribution of justice.
- Fear the Lord, which is to obey God’s Word and depart from evil.
- “the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart…” 1 Samuel 13:14.
“thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength…” Mark 12:30- Be a man after God’s own heart.
- Love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
- Insist to have Christian religious liberty not freedom of false gods.
- “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Mark 12:31. See 1 Timothy 5:8.
“God created man in his own image…” Genesis 1:27.
“the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Romans 8:21.
“We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29,
“conscience” 1 Corinthians 10:29.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” Hebrews 10:25.- Love Americans as they love themselves.
- Demand our God-given rights of life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, conscience, property, travel, and the free exercise of Christianity, including assembling of ourselves together as churches.
- “And the king… made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul…” 2 Chronicles 34:31.
God commands every civil servant to reaffirm covenant and agree:- The Lord is the God of the USA and Americans (those who believe) are His people. Psalm 33:12, 2 Corinthians 6:18
- Jesus is judge, lawgiver, and king of the USA. Isaiah 33:22, Philippians 2:11
- Americans obey the Holy Bible with all of our heart and all of our soul. Luke 6:47-49, 2 Chronicles 34:32
- The USA seeks the Lord with all of our heart and all of our soul. 2 Chronicles 15:12, Matthew 7:7
- Americans teach 3 generations to live in covenant, with Christian nation leaders from schools to federal representatives, with Bible reading and Christian prayer in schools. Matthew 28:19-20, Isaiah 59:21
- The USA turns away from everyone against Jesus Christ. We witness to unbelievers, but we do not vote for them nor are we unequally yoked with those in rebellion to God. 2 Timothy 3:5
- Americans glory in the Cross (renew the altar) and receive forgiveness for the USA’s sins by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:7, Jonah 4:2
- America’s Christian founding fathers, who made America great by living for King Jesus, knew and lived the Bible verses on choosing covenant Christian nation leaders.
- “it is the duty… of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for [our] rulers.” John Jay, First Chief Justice of the USA, Isaiah 33:22, Exodus 18:21, Mark 12:30…
- To live in liberty and peace, children in public schools must be taught again what the founders taught children in schools:
- “It is alleged by men of loose principles, or defective views of the subject, that [Christian] religion and morality are not necessary or important qualifications for political stations. But the Scriptures … direct that rulers should be men who rule in the fear of God, able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness… [Exodus 18:21]” Noah Webster, History of the United States, (New-Haven…, 1832), 336-337
- “When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, ‘just men who will rule in the fear of God.’ [2 Samuel 23:3] The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this Duty…” Noah Webster, Letters to a Young Gentleman Commencing His Education: to which is Subjoined a Brief History of the United States, (New Haven, Howe and Spalding, 1823), 18-19
- Obeying God’s known will as given in Scripture advances the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- “provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers…” Exodus 18:21.
- If a politician won’t follow God, then God’s will is to obey God and demand a Christian who obeys God replace them immediately. We also cry out to God for God to deliver us from tyrants. We must obey God’s in the Holy Bible to be blessed and free!
- “Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” 2 Chronicles 19:2
“an heretick… reject” Titus 3:10 - “We ought to obey God, rather than men.” Acts 5:29. See Exodus 1:17-21.
- “when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them”. Judges 3:9.
“Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?” Joel 2:17. - If a politician cheated/committed election fraud, then they are to be condemned with lawful punishment for treason. “condemn the wicked” Deuteronomy 25:1. Psalm 50:16-18 shows the wicked consent to a thief.
- “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” Founding Fathers
- “Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.” 2 Chronicles 19:2
- If you are not a Christian, call on Jesus Christ to save you. Pray and read the Bible every morning and evening. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-10
Pray: Father, I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive my sins. You raised Jesus Christ from the dead. I confess Jesus is Lord. I am a Christian. Help me understand the Holy Bible with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
